Rockledge U14 takes 1st place in Greater Central Florida Premier Regional Cup League!!
Here's a great success story! In its third season in the Greater Central Florida league, Rockledge’s U14 Premier Regional Cup team won 1st place in league play this spring! Half the games are played in Rockledge and the others throughout the Orlando area. The team faced very competitive teams and fought through several very skilled soccer clubs. To get the team where it is today, it plays about 25-30 regulated games each fall and each spring with league, tournament and scrimmage play. The kids are disciplined and work hard in practices, which contributes to their continued growth. The team is made up of kids from Pt. St. John, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Patrick AFB and Rockledge. Many of the parents on the team are or have been head coaches in various leagues.
The team players are: Jay Madison, Tom Villalpando, Nick Rousseau, Ian Siljestrom, Kyler Rittenhouse, Derek Lawrence, Alek Zahorak, Justin Yearwood, Carl Broderick, Dillon Davis, Cody Mays, James Scott, Christian Breaux, Kevin Joy, Danny Hildenbrand, Brad Merritt and Johnathan Oyler. The coaches are: Paul Villalpando, Richard Merritt, and Don Zahorak.
