The Transformers (Briana, Kim, Eileen, Jennifer, & Emily) stayed strong working through group play where they played half of their games up an age bracket and all of their games versus more experienced teams. So when the elimination bracket was set, they were prepared and ready. Overcoming an earlier defeat, the Transformers got their revenge beating the Purple Ponies in sudden death overtime to advance to the Championship game. Although they didn’t end with a victory in the final game, a great time was had by all. FYSA Coaching Courses Offeredposted Thursday, October 22. 2009 Rockledge Soccer Club & Space Coast United Soccer Club will be offering the following Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA) Coaching License Courses. FYSA F License: Saturday, November 14. The F License is the introductory 8 hour course to 11-a-side soccer for players 12 years old and up. This course also serves a preparatory course and prerequisite for the E license course FYSA E License: Friday through Sunday, November 20-22. This course is a prerequisite for the D license, and concerns 11-a-side soccer for coaches of players that are 13 years old and up. This course is 18 hours in length. Four evenly skilled teams participated and all games were decided by one goal. The Steelers lost a tough fought first game 0-1 to the Indian River Vipers, who would later lose to Melbourne Beach in the championship on penalty kicks after a scoreless regulation. The Steelers faced an old rival in the 3rd place game going up against Megu Fusion. After giving up an early goal, the Steelers charged back to take a 2-1 victory and capture the 3rd Place trophy. - U-14 Boys NDP Descends on Concord, Mass. for Annual Identification Camp
- The U.S. Under-14 Boys National Development Program, led by Manny Schellscheidt, is in the midst of its annual identification camp as 118 players have descended on Concord, Mass. for seven days of training and evaluation.
- U.S. U-20 Men's National Team Falls to Australia in Rosario, Argentina
- The U-20 Men’s National Team wrapped up its final training camp before the FIFA U-20 World Cup with a second-place finish at the Copa Cuidad de Rosario in Argentina. With a 3-1 loss to close out the round-robin tournament, Thomas Rongen’s side finished in second place behind local club CA Tiro Federal and ahead of third-place Australia and fourth-place finisher Uruguay.

- U-18 MNT Wins Shootout to Take Fifth Place at Milk Cup
- The U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team took fifth place at the prestigious Milk Cup with an eight-round shootout win against Israel, after a 1-1 draw, in the placement match on July 31. The team left Northern Ireland with two draws, the other coming against Germany in group play, and one loss to Denmark in the opening match. Germany earned third place in the tournament with a 5-0 drubbing of Belgium in their placement match and host Northern Ireland took home the trophy with a 2-0 win against Denmark in the final.

Each of the four youth soccer regions in the USA sends approximately 25 players to the camp headed by U.S. Soccer National Staff Coach Mike Dickey.
